One of our dogs, Lucy, a Lurcher that looks quite a bit like Amelia, knows to "sit" for a piece of chicken jerky. Given the same command when it's time to put on her leash for a walk, she just paces around. So I guess that means she wants me to give her a jerky treat when it's time for a walk. That seems like it should work, but what if she learns to pace around instead of sitting for the jerky.
