Dogs and Cat in Harmony

On our way to church this evening we found a stray kitten and brought it home. It was sitting next to the guardrail meowing as we went down the hill. We drove back up the hill and my son ran over to get it. It gave chase for a moment and then decided it wanted to be rescued. We left the cat in the car while we were in church and didn't really know what to expect when we got out. But she must have decided to lay down quietly and rest because no damage was done.

Our dogs don't mind cats as long they don't hiss and spit at them. We've always gotten kittens with the dogs that way they can grow up not being afraid of the three dogs or wanting to eat our guinea pigs. Kota won't chase the cat but he wants to be left alone no rubbing or getting near him. He makes a low growl and gets up. Daisy likes to mother them and play with them while they are kittens. Unfortunately they always get larger and play so much rougher with her that she probably wishes she had never played with them in the first place.

We decided to name the kitten Kailey.

  1. Kailey is so beautiful. I'm so glad you rescued her. It is so great that she now has a safe and happy home.
