More Puppy Training

Bailey has turned out to be a great puppy. I hope one day she doesn't wake up all wild and crazy. I have to say it's fun to have a clean slate to train. She is willing to learn and seldom jumps on us. Her favorite position is sit which is very unusual for a puppy. She doesn't have to pee and poop all the time which makes potty training that much easier.

She loves to train but sit and touch are the only ones she can do with a verbal command. All the other commands need a lure or in the case of "wait" a foot in the face to stop any further advancement. I worked on having her wait at the door. I want to curb any notion of door dashing like Kota and Tanner. Daisy doesn't ever want to run out the door unless it's to get rid of strangers.

Hopefully, I want to get some videos up so you can see the progress we are making. I have discovered that it is easier to learn dog training through visual teaching than it it to read it.

  1. These are all good commands to teach early. It's great that Bailey doesn't jump or dash out the door. Keep up the good work.
